Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I am a 3rd teacher in an inner-city, Title I school. I have 27 students from various ethnic backgrounds. A large majority of my students come from non-English speaking families. My class also consists of special education students who need differentiated instruction and visuals. My students love using classroom resources to help them with their classwork. Unfortunately, with budget cuts and no funding, we lack sufficient resources in the classroom.
My school does not have available funding to purchase materials that are needed to meet the needs of my special education students and English Language Learners.
My students are very special because they try their best even though they are often faced with many obstacles that other children do not have. They love school and are happy to learn.
My Project
This wireless color printer will help me with distance learning so that I can scan lessons to my students. There are many things that I would like to send to my students, but I do not have this capability from home. This printer will help me reach my students that are working from home with their families. When they send me the work they are doing from home, I can make a copy and keep it for them when we return to school.
Having a wireless printer will make my distance learning more productive and successful.
My students would love to see their creative work printed in color for them when they return to school.
