My Students

"Never let the fear of striking out keep you from playing the game." The students of our Multicultural Club are never afraid to think outside the box and always try to bring their ideas to life. Supporting each other to display their talents through their art work in the club.

My students are determined when it comes to projects, their constant optimism allows them to start and complete numerous projects that become successful.

This represents our tight knit all-girls leadership school. Our school has approximately 500 girls that represent 66 different cultures, a diverse bunch of students who rival social expectations. Within our club students take on leadership roles such as; entrepreneurs, dress designers, architects, choreographers to create a sense of responsibility. Despite the varying age groups, we have been successful in bringing all of these girls together through the medium of exchanging ideas, sharing art and traditions using the overarching theme of culture. Moreover, my students are pioneers; they always take on the initiative to start on new projects that always happen to showcase their artistic abilities through different forms of art. It is in all of these events that I have learned how immensely creative my students are.

My Project

The Multicultural Club hosts several events throughout the school year, which are all centered around the artistic and musical abilities of my students. The main event that happens is The Eco-Friendly Fashion Show, which is a fashion show where my students create dresses out of eco-friendly materials. Students learn about ecological issues that affect all humans and in return, the student body creates recyclable dresses and the Multicultural Club creates the set and props using recyclable materials as well. Various materials including paint, brushes, tape, and others are necessary for the students to proceed on this project. These kinds of opportunities provide our students different leadership roles in something that suit their personalities. We promote our students to reach outside of their comfort zone and connect with the community in order to raise awareness about the importance of taking care of our planet and how to contribute to the process of doing it.

Multicultural Club is student's safe haven to identify, explore and share different skills that students own.

Moreover, the events that Multicultural Club puts on, promotes tolerance, equality and respect for each individual. Most importantly students have the opportunity to use their imagination and inspire various members in society to stress the importance of saving the planet, while showcasing their artistic talents.
