My Project

I teach English Language Arts to a diverse group of 6th grade students in a large NYC public school. My students are creative, positive young people who care about the world around them and wish to impact the future in meaningful ways.

Inspired by Earth Day this month, I am requesting an eco-friendly supply refresh for my ELA students.

I am asking for some new books on different environmental themes to enrich our classroom library. And I am also requesting some classroom cleaning supplies that are eco-friendly, like compostable wipes and eco-friendly paper products. I would also like to receive some awesome pencils that students can plant when they are done using them to write with, and a small hydroponic garden to enhance the classroom environment and help clean the air.
