My Project

I teach exceptional children pre-k class. I have 12 students that attend. All of our students have individualized education plans (IEP) in place. I want to see my students have the ability of flexible seating in our classroom. This will accommodate their specific learning needs.

Most of my students are autistic and require a lot of stem motions and actions.

The flexible seating will allow them to move accordingly. It will also allow them the opportunity to choose the seat they would like to sit in. My students are mostly non-verbal and require speech devices or speech boards to communicate. The flexible seating will make the students feel more comfortable in the classroom. I want our students to have a safe comfortable place to learn and grow. Please consider my EC Pre-K class for this grant. I want to give my students every avenue possible to be able to learn and succeed.
