My Project

As my students being kindergarten, we focus on foundational skills in both reading and math. This project supports building phonics and reading readiness skills as well as counting and sorting skills. My students will use these new supplies during reading and math center time - a time for individual exploration, practice, and skill development in literacy and mathematical thinking.

My young students are active and engaged learners and learn best by doing so this project is the perfect opportunity to provide hands on activites and at the same time providing foundational skill development in both reading and math.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
