Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

Our students are from a small town where football is life and everyone knows everyone. My class of EAST (Education Accelerated By Service And Technology) students work hard and are looking to help our community. In our class, we use various modes of technology and software to solve problems and help others.

Students in our school must be disciplined, self-motivated, and hardworking.

My students definitely fit this description. They are constantly exploring new ideas and new projects. They want to see others do well and provide opportunities that may not otherwise be available. They learn skills that will help them in the real world while helping those that may not have the tools necessary to help themselves.

My Project

These materials will help us to improve our video projects and our newscasts. Our goal is to create videos that we can present to our community. We have a green wall that we use as our green screen. The floor space in front of the wall is covered with a green vinyl type of material. It is scratched and looks unpresentable. The mats that we are purchasing will be an easier install and easier to keep clean. The tripod will give us an extra tripod, and we will be able to use an Ipad as a teleprompter.

Having updated equipment gives the students a sense of pride and enjoyment.
