Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students all receive special education and have IEP's. All of my students have speech and language disabilities. I work with some of the most hardworking and wonderful students. In my classroom, I encourage the idea that they are not defined by their disability.
Each and every student has qualities that make them unique and wonderful, and that is celebrated each and every time they enter my speech room!
We celebrate differences, diversity, and teamwork in my room. I am privileged to work with my speech students!
My Project
I work with my speech students in small groups. Therefore, I like to create a safe and comfortable environment, where students are encouraged to make mistakes, learn from them, and most importantly, try their best.
The Flex-Space Comfy Floor Seat chairs will help keep my students engaged when we are reading stories and working on our daily communication skills.
The Large Group Table will help keep students focused and working together in a group
Students deserve to have the best opportunity to learn. I try to make speech therapy fun and fulfilling for my students by mixing up our lessons.
