Earth History and Chemistry

My students need the fossil specimens to see what extinct organisms look like and to see the real thing. Reading about fossils gives them an understanding on HOW they form but not WHAT they are.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are perfect examples of what our country exemplifies. A melting pot of diversity, cultures, and an eagerness to do their best. My kids want to do their best and I strive to do my best to provide them with the best.

We live in an area that blends both higher socioeconomic and lower socioeconomic families, both of whom strive to do their best.

These students have modern technology in their daily lives but in the classroom, we are a bit behind the times. My kids deserve every opportunity to flourish just like any other group of kids.

My Project

The digital microscope will allow my students to see examples much easier instead of going around to each group. We can all look at details that might otherwise go unnoticed.

Fossils are better understood when you can hold them and see them up close.

Earth's history is a difficult concept at the middle school level and having the real thing in their hands brings it to life.

The chemistry materials will help us explore how substances work together to bring chemical reactions to life. Understanding the difference between a chemical reaction and a non-reaction will help them as they move into high school.
