This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As we approach Earth Day, it's crucial to instill in our students a deeper understanding of environmental conservation and sustainability. One effective way to achieve this is through engaging literature that educates and inspires.

This proposal outlines a selection of books about Earth Day and environmental awareness for classroom reading, fostering a sense of responsibility and stewardship for our planet among students.

Along with books, I have requested a TPT gift card to purchase classroom resources and lessons that will help teach students about the Earth.

These materials will:

Raise awareness about environmental issues and the importance of Earth Day as a global observance.

Educate students about sustainability, conservation, and ways to protect the environment.

Inspire students to take action and make a positive impact on their local and global communities.

Encourage critical thinking and reflection on personal and collective responsibility for the planet.

By incorporating Earth Day-themed books and lessons into our classroom reading, we have the opportunity to educate and inspire students to become responsible stewards of the environment. Through engaging stories and thought-provoking discussions, we can empower our students to make a positive impact on the planet and cultivate a lifelong commitment to sustainability.
