My Students

My classroom is packed full of fun, movement, energy, and growing young minds!

My Kindergartners are thrilling and eager to learn.

They excite me every day as I watch them learn and grow. When you're five years old, the world around you is full of new and exciting things. Some of my students haven't yet discovered the wonders of the world and need a plethora of experiences to grow into the best citizens they can be!

My students come from a very diverse background. The majority of our students qualify for free and reduced rate lunch and often times don't have access to certain resources unless they are at school. My goal every day is to provide my students with as many opportunities as possible while pushing them to exceed our Kindergarten standards. My favorite way to do this is through engaging, exciting, activities that make learning fun!

My Project

My kinders work so hard everyday and would love the opportunity to earn money that can be spent on engaging and exciting activities. Students will be able to gain a better understanding of money by earning money for their hard work, trading smaller coins in for larger coins and then trading coins in for bills. The mixed coins and mixed bills will be used to pay students. They will be able to spend the money they earn on time with STEM activities and LEGO activities. Things like STEM Fairy Tales, STEM Science, Architect Building Blocks and Toymaker manipulatives will be up for grabs as students earn their money! These activities will also strengthen students problem solving skills and their ability to work with others.

These resources will be so beneficial to my young learners and will teach them valuable and real-life experiences with money.

This project will help show them the importance of earning money and saving it until you can spend it on something you want or need.
