My students attend a Title I elementary school. They are hardworking and very enthusiastic. They are from diverse backgrounds and add to the culture of our school. They face many challenges daily.
"The whole purpose of education is to turn mirrors into windows." -Sydney Harris.
My students have turned windows into doors. They break through barriers not many other students face. They made 20% gains on our state end-of-course exam. If they have the tools to be successful, they can be. They want a level playing field in the classroom.
My students need earbuds so they can listen and follow along with tutorials to get them ready for their end of class exam worth 30% of their final grade.
Earbuds are essential for my students to get prepared for their exam in May.
75% of my students come economically disadvantaged households. I personally purchase headphones at the beginning of the year for my students but they did not hold up.
It is late in the year and I need to provide them with some way to be able to hear the information needed to pass the exam. Your assistance will go along way towards helping my students get ready. We have gained 22% on our EOC scores in the last 2 years. We are leveling the playing field for my students.
