Help me give my students new headphones. This will provide my students the ability to use their 21st century skills to make, edit and listen to online content that they or I create to enhance their learning.
My students are inquisitive and insightful individuals. They come from all over Chicago bringing with them different cultures and backgrounds. The desire my students have to grow their knowledge about the world around them is inspiring.
My school is proudly a full continuum IB program (grades K - 12), with only 25 other schools in North America and the Caribbean hold this distinction.
More than half of the students at my school are categorized as low-income and receive free or reduced school meals. Despite the district budget cuts within Chicago Public Schools, we continue to be a supportive and welcoming community that supports student growth holistically.
My Project
This will provide my students the ability to use their 21st century skills to make, edit and listen to online content that they or I create to enhance their learning.
Students will get to combine their interest in music, film and storytelling to create various forms of media as assessments.
With so many students using technology in the classroom, recording and listening can be difficult in a room with 30+ students. The headphones will allow students to focus in on their project or task without getting distracted by others. They will be able to further their abilities to do amazing things!
