My Students

Have you ever tried to show someone something that isn't really there or it is very hard to see? I have been trying to teach my students about constellations.

I work in a school that is 100% free lunch.

We have approximately 940 students. We are 85% Hispanic, 7% African American, 5% White, and 3% Asian, with over 70% of our population being English Language Learners. Our students are highly motivated to learn about different topics, however we are have limited resources for them to experience these opportunities.

My Project

With the Galaxy Tablet, my students will be able to use it to be able to see where constellations lie in the part of the sky they are looking in. With basic star maps it is hard for them to find exact locations with the star. The Galaxy Tablet would allow them to use apps to locate constellations with ease.

This tablet will help my students to explore the galaxy in the palm of their hands.

With technology being a predominate part of our society, there is no better way to start then the hands of our children.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
