E-Portfolios for First-Generation College Bound Students!
My students need 31 flash drives to be able to save their writing and reflect on it. This will help them to become better writers and to be ready for college.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Help us prepare for the future! There are many challenges for our students who want to go to college - one of them is technology.
The majority of students in our school are on free or reduced lunch and don't have the resources for extras.
In addition, these particular students are first-generation college bound, just learning what they need to do in order to go to a university and change their lives. They want to go to college, but there are many skills that they need in order to accomplish that goal.
My Project
With a simple flash drive, my students will be able to create an e-portfolio that they can refer back to over their four year high school career. In order to enter university, students need basic writing skills, and there is no better way to become a better writer than through reflecting on past writing. These flash drives would allow my students to keep their drafts in one place, making the re-write process more efficient. It will also allow them to continue to develop the required skills in creating a college-acceptable final draft. They would also be able to use this flash drive for their entire high school career - allowing them to continue to reflect on their writing and make it better.
This project will help my students achieve the skills they need in order to be accepted into a university, and it will give them skills that they will rely on once they get there.
