My students need a magnetic write and wipe teaching easel in order to share ideas and learn new skills.

I have a wonderful group of first grade students who love to learn new things every day.
My students face many personal struggles yet come to school everyday ready to learn.
They know that our classroom is a safe, loving, and nurturing environment where we can have discussions, disagreements, and problem solve as a team!
All of my students plan to attend college in the future. We frequently talk about the path we need to follow over the course of the next 12 school years in order to reach our college goals. Some of my students expressed their interest in having careers as judges, nurses, game designers, and firefighters.
The Double Wide Teaching Easel will provide my students with the opportunity to view and practice new skills, share ideas and information and help engage all learners in an interactive way. My students will use the easel for whole group activities including morning meeting and read alouds, small group instruction and independent practice through learning centers. The Double Wide Teaching Easel will allow me to model new techniques, skills and strategies in literacy and math.
When practicing new skills my students and I frequently collaborate to craft an ideal model for students to reference as they try the skill independently.
The write and wipe feature combined with the lined side of the easel will enhance this practice for my awesome learners. The Double Wide Teaching Easel is magnetic and also has a place for hanging pocket charts that will be used to store learning centers to provide students with opportunities to practice building vocabulary, word decoding skills, and adding and subtracting and building math stories. The easel will provide an area in our classroom that encourages collaboration and community learning in a fun and interactive way!
