Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

We use a lot of rhythm instruments and rhythm activities in our classroom daily. As a result, some of our older instruments are suffering and could use an upgrade. The same goes for our listening equipment such as headphones. We are lucky enough to have a classroom cart of iPads, but no headphones to really separate the sound from what is going on around us.

The students LOVE playing their instruments and having technology as a resource in music.

However a lot of wear and tear occurs because of the amount of usage in the classroom. The students would love some new drums, maracas, and rhythm activity books to play whenever the lesson calls for it.
