Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

I serve in a Title I school district. We work with students from underprivileged communities and strive to give every kid opportunities to create and grow in their learning. I am looking for ways to organize the materials we have in our music room.

Xylophone bars are easily lost, but not easily replaced.

It is quite costly when a bar goes missing or is damaged. The baskets and zip ties will hold the bars on our xylophones when they are not in use. The pen pals are an excellent tool for storing xylophone mallets when they are not being used as well. The Lummi sticks are an additional instrument that we will use for performing and improvising, and are great for a variety of music games!

A calm and organized classroom has been proven to enhance focus and learning at school. Thank you for helping me create a clean and optimal space for my students.
