My Project

I work in a rural, Title I school. I want to give my students the experience of raising ducks that they have hatched.

Many of my students do not have pets and do not know the joy and responsibility of raising animals.

Students will learn how to to take care of the chicks and clean the cage. This will be a part of a unit on embryology and will teach students life skills of caring for animals. Students will benefit from watching the ducks grow feathers and begin to quack.
