This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Help us monitor student progress throughout the day.

My students are low-income English learners who enjoy school, but struggle with reading and math.

Most of my students are working one to two years below grade level. Because of their low levels, I need to constantly monitor their progress and check for understanding.

My Project

I am requesting whiteboard sleeves and dry erase markers. We use the whiteboard sleeves to insert different worksheets and papers that we use daily. Rather than making copies, we reuse the same pieces of paper by inserting them into whiteboard sleeves. We use our whiteboard markers all the time, so we need to constantly update our supply of markers as the markers run dry.

One way I monitor student progress is by checking for understanding through the use of whiteboards.

Without these supplies, students may not be monitored as closely and may not make as much progress.
