My Students

My students are hardworking and driven individuals. They strive to do there very best day in and day out despite the challenges many face outside of the school walls. When faced with hardships they never shy away. They take life head on and deserve to have the nice things that other schools in our district have as well. They are truly an inspiration to every teacher and remind us daily of the reasons we do what we do. They are the most deserving and giving group of students I have ever met.

My Project

Students will incorporate rhythm and dance during a cardio workout. They will learn basic, intermediate and advanced routines to perform during class for workouts. They will use the yoga balls along with drumsticks to play out songs as they circle the yoga ball and drum on it. They will also work in groups to create their own routines and teach them to the class. This will work on their social skills as well as their cardio. We will use this as an innovative way for students to express their creativity while working on their fitness. We will also be able to use the yoga balls during our cool down yoga days.
