Droning With Flying Orbs

Help me give my students Flying Orb Balls, an exciting hands on, low stakes STEM resource, to strengthen growth mindset, collaboration, and communication skills in my technology classes.

My Project

My high energy middle school students need hands-on learning. Introducing and reinforcing growth mindset while mastering techniques to fly the Cosmic Globe Hover Orbs will give students a real-world STEM integration opportunity.

Using the Cosmic Flying Orbs, my students will learn about the basic variables for flying drones, including lift, thrust, tilt, and air flow as well as how to create and communicate safe flying practices for both crew teams and bystanders.

They will build on communication and collaboration practices to improve executing flight accuracy and precision with these non-gender bias orbs. The orbs are an ideal low stakes entry mechanism into the drone world as they require no screen time, no WIFI, and no remote controllers to engage and accomplish assigned missions. These orbs will keep my entire class of students engaged from initial learning techniques on to flying through an obstacle course or just playing keep-away with them.

Overall, reflective journaling will also capture team photos and learning progression. Please support this highly engaging project for my STEM classes.
