This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Drones and flying machines have captured our imaginations. The ability to fly a machine and capture footage, is beyond the imagination of my students. I want to ignite the flames of curiosity! My students are craving an exciting new adventure that will allow them to capture our world from the sky.

My students come from poor neighborhoods where opportunities to walk the wrong path are plentiful, while the opportunities to explore new ideas and play and learn with machines are not.

My school is heading in an awesome direction with our technology, yet, we lack the exciting new things that can spark an idea in a mind that just might hold the cures for diseases or new energy efficient means of transportation model. I wish to spark those innovations!

My Project

Students will use the drones and hero camcorder to capture life from the sky. They will learn about flight, drones, video editing, video production, and more. I envision the excitement of capturing aerial footage to spark ideas never thought of. What if a student wants to make an action movie where the good guy can fly? What if a student wants to study how drones will affect our country? What if a student wants to study how drones can improve our safety or other? We'll learn many things with these materials.

My project will make a difference because it will excite my students to learn and play with machines they do not have access to otherwise.

We'll most likely be the only school in our area with the technology. It'll give my students a memorable experience that will add value to their lives and minds for better through understanding drone technology and video production.
