This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students have limited resources, but always see the glass half full. They can make the best out of the worst baseball game. If their bat breaks during a game they use a stick. If their baseball gets lost they use a basketball and modify the game. Since, they don't have mitts they catch with their bare hands. They are definitely survivors who never complain for their lack of resources, instead they dream of playing with the right equipment one day. They play with their hearts and dream with baseball.

My Project

Many of my students dream with sports but are not expose to organized sports due to lack of funds. The majority of their parents work long hours for minimum wage and can't afford the sports or the equipment. Mitts are expensive and many students play baseball without mitts and use tennis balls because that's all they have. I would like my students to have an opportunity to use a real mitt to catch, and to play baseball with the right equipment. By donating to this project you'll give 70 students an opportunity to play baseball at school, exercise, and develop a love for the game. You have the power to make a difference, please help 70 students' dreams come true.
