My Students

I have a bustling class full of twenty-two, energetic second graders! We work together each day to learn to our fullest potential!

These children come from a variety of backgrounds and give their best each and every day.

They deserve a learning environment that supports their learning and growing. These children come to school motivated to learn despite what circumstances may loom outside of school. They are kind, caring, and have the best intentions. It is my absolute pleasure to work with them each day! These future leaders will be world changers!

My Project

My students need a comfortable learning carpet to help them define their space while they are listening to whole group lessons as well as exploring and collaborating during small group learning sessions.

Lessons are more interactive and come to life when they are gathered together in a group, but yet they have their own defined area so they don't feel crowded.

The students can better maintain their focus and creativity can freely flow.

Listening to Read Alouds, collaborating on writing projects, and working on group presentations are just a few of the many activities students be participating in during rug time.
