Drawing to Make 3D

My students need wire to do 3D sculptures, pastel set for drawing, and tag board to do painting and another 3D sculpture.

My Students

This year is going to be AMAZING! This is my first year at this school and I am excited to create this donation for the benefits of my students. My students are sweet, creative, and want to learn more about art and the techniques within the classroom.

I teach grades kindergarten through fifth grade and one of the largest military facilities is located in this county.

These kids come from families that move often and seeing a variety of art techniques is helpful for this transient community. While the families are here, they are highly involved in school involvement.

These donations will not go to waste, or without appreciation! Anything helps and all materials will be used!

My Project

These materials will be beneficial because students will be able to create their ideas on paper and then have the materials to create a 3D project. Working 2D, using the pastel pencils, and then moving to 3D, using the tag board and wire, is a great way to help students work out of their comfort zone and problem solve. I can not complete the one, without the other. This simple project will open the avenues to many more creative projects in the future!

The key to art, in most cases, is scaffolding the material and learning.

These materials will allow for that scaffolding and let the students see their drawings come to life!
