These materials will be beneficial because students will be able to create their ideas on paper and then have the materials to create a 3D project. Working 2D, using the pastel pencils, and then moving to 3D, using the tag board and wire, is a great way to help students work out of their comfort zone and problem solve. I can not complete the one, without the other. This simple project will open the avenues to many more creative projects in the future! The key to art, in most cases, is scaffolding the material and learning. These materials will allow for that scaffolding and let the students see their drawings come to life!
