Help me give my students the dramatic play tools that they need to improve their social behaviors. By adding new dress up items, additional play areas for the room, and other social toys my students will flourish.
Developmental Delay pre-kindergarten is such an exciting group of mixed interests, abilities, and goals. Some of my students are learning the alphabet, numbers, colors and shapes, while others are learning to imitate sounds or hold a paintbrush. Our group loves to play outside, learn new games, and boogie to a sweet tune.
Curious, enthusiastic, and creative; my students are eager to immerse themselves in any kind of challenge.
They are fearless when it comes to learning and, as children of the 21st century, they need to be prepared to use a variety of tools to engage their world.
My Project
All of my students want to learn to play together. Our class is limited to the little bit of dramatic play items that were purchased by me to create my dramatic play center. Though my students love to play in this area it is important that they have other toys to use to expand their curiosity and growth in social situations.
My Dramatic Play Center helps my students build relationships with each other during active learning.
Children use dramatic play to explore their own thoughts & feelings. Dramatic play teaches conflict resolution, supports literacy, teaches self-regulation, gives students an emotional outlet, and allows you to support your kids and encourage their ideas.
