Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

At OWH Middle School, my 6th-graders need your help to create a caring and inspiring environment. My students need a space that makes them feel safe and inspired to come to school, by decorating the classroom with beautiful inspirational words and images they will be encouraged and comfortable at school.

I work with an ICT class with students who have learning disabilities and need sensory seating to help them focus during a social studies lesson.

My students need colorful lanterns and plant decor in the classroom to support their creative minds and inspire their learning goals. My students this year are unique in where they come from, I have a huge number of students who are ENL learners who recently migrated from other countries. And some of my students are in temporary housing, which can be difficult for many young teens and their families to cope with. I work hard in my classroom to make sure all my students feel loved and cared about in our school community.
