Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have 29 wonderful 5th-grade students, which include special education students, magnet students, English Language Learners, and intervention students. They are very enthusiastic about learning and are always eager to explore new things.

The children love coming to school every day, and always have a big smile on their faces, despite the socioeconomic hardships they endure in the community in which they live.

They attend a school in California, in a low-income neighborhood. The school is both a regular and highly gifted/magnet institution. However, my students are part of the regular school and do not have access to the materials and enrichment activities that the magnet students have.

My Project

As this year is coming to an end and the new year is coming around the corner, school supplies in our classroom are getting low. The items that my students need the most are writing notebooks as they love to write and do a lot of daily writing activities. Also, the testing season is soon approaching and the children will need privacy borders to help them concentrate when taking tests.

If students have the basic school materials readily available, their learning experience will be a productive one ensuring their academic success.

Hopefully, we can count on your support to bring these materials to our classroom.
