My Project

At PTP we believe attendance is important and the foundation for success. We implemented a schoolwide attendance game, Candy Land. Candy Land supports, encourages, and shows students how important being at school is in a tangible way. How Sweet It Is You Are At School Today, has become the tag line as classes with daily perfect attendance get to spin the wheel and see where their luck lands them on the school wide game board. The class that wins the most rounds of the game will win a trip to the Aquarium in Shreveport and hopefully a "Let's Go Fishing" game.

School attendance is very important for a child's development and fostering the love of learning while laying the foundation for life long success.

We would like to give the students a Let's Go Fishing game after the Aquarium field trip as a special memory of the day. Many of our students do not have the means for the above experience and being able to give them "Let's Go Fishing" as a memory of the day will show them just how special they are.
