Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

As a Special Education Teacher, I have the privilege of working with an amazing set of students. Each student has their own struggles with education, but have pushed themselves to go above and beyond to ensure they graduate and become successful members of society.

These students deserve to have every available tool at their disposal to make these dreams become a reality.

Whether their life will continue on with higher education, or they will join the work force, every student deserves the access to appropriate tools.

My Project

Walk into any higher level math class and you will likely hear the teacher say "Don't forget the negative!" We want our students to gain the knowledge and confidence to compute high level math problems with fidelity.

Our students need calculators to be the tools to access these skills.

The additional supplies of pens, paper, and folders will assist me in remaining organized and energetic in the materials presented in the classroom. As the weather gets chilly, we are using more and more tissues. Help me keep my kiddos healthy by providing me and my co-teacher with a box of tissues!
