This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
It's my second year being a librarian after teaching 5th grade or Social Studies at the same school for 25 years! We have ALL new books and I definitely don't want my students (ranging from Pre-K through 5th) folding down the corner of the page to know where they left off reading.
Every year I start off with a huge stash of book marks. But my students' older siblings or even parents abscond with them! I buy cute or funny ones, so I understand why they disappear. Each week when they visit the library, they ask for a new bookmark.
I'd really like to replenish my stock to last through June or maybe have a few to begin anew in September 2023.
