This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This is the first year since 2020 that students have been able to fully access the Library Media Center, including borrowing books. Donors Choose has helped me remodel the Library over the past few years, with fresh paint, bright posters in English and Spanish, books and lots MakerSpace items and robots. With all these new items and a revitalized learning space comes the need for new organization systems.

I am in need of clear, sturdy bins to provide an easy experience for my students to find and utilize the books and resources they love in the Library.

I have been curating collections of books based on student and teacher needs and interests for the past 3 years. I've bargain-hunted and "dumpster dived" for whatever bins I could find. As one can imagine, I have quite an eclectic collection of bins and containers. These clear bins will provide a clean, organized and intentional aesthetic that will showcase the books and make them easy to find and put back.
