We are a STEM academy. We are only one of six STEM schools in the state of Texas. We are beginning our new journey of STEM-based projects that will include math, science, engineering, technology, writing, and art.

We want to help our students make great choices and to create awesome projects, but we are in need of supplies to create unique projects. My students love learning by doing. We love building with our hands.
During class, my students use books to learn vocabulary, exposure to letters and words. We also use manipulative like blocks, legos, linking cubes, pattern blocks and more to build, count, make patterns, syllables, counting words in a sentence, as well as science.
My students learn best by hands on, doing, making, and watching. We talk about what we are doing, how we are making structures, how many items we are using and more.
My Project
My students love to play. They also love to act out stories we have read and act out their own stories. In our dramatic play area, I would love to give them a dollhouse with furniture and people so that they can play learn. They will be able to act out books we have read in class, books they have read at home, and act out their own stories.

Through role play in our dramatic play area, students will be able to build on their vocabulary learned in class from our word wall. Also, they will use vocabulary learned from books we have read. Through role play, students can act out and learn from each other, build vocabulary and work on social emotional skills.
