This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach a diverse group of preschoolers with special needs in California who come from a range of socioeconomic, linguistic, and cultural backgrounds. The majority of my students speak more than one language and are learning English as their second language. Many of them come from low-income homes. All of my students have special needs that range from Autism, Down syndrome, to other disabilities.

My Project

My students love pretend play. Recently we got some babies which they love. They enjoy feeding and dressing the babies. I'm hoping to provide them more purposeful enriched play by having a doll house for them to play with. I like how the doll house I picked is wood so it will last a long time, and endure use. Several of my students have pretend play goals, this toy will help them develop their socioemotional skills. Thank you for considering donating to my donors choose, I appreciate it so much!
