Dodge Dodgeball And No One Gets Hurt!!!

My students need the Skillastics Basketball Game, a non-competitive game which allows the entire class to work on basketball drills at one time.

What are we doing in gym today, Mrs. W.? Skillastics Basketball, what is that? Hello, I teach Health and Physical Education in an elementary school in KY. We serve 290 students in grades K-6 and serve a high percentage of children whose families are below the poverty level. Nearly 72% of our students receive free or reduced lunch. The Physical Education Department only receives $250.00 per year for equipment.

Without question, it is a very competitive world. Sometimes it is too competitive. Therefore, I often encourage my students to participate in physical activity in a fun cooperative environment.

It is our hope to purchase the Skillastics Basketball Game. This unique board game covers 26 basketball skills to improve fundamentals. The class is divided into teams, dice are rolled, and the team performs the drill according to the instruction cards. This game accommodates the entire class, therefore, no one is excluded or has to wait turns!

With your generous donation, you will make it possible for my students to develop a team building "with me" attitude while learning the basic fundamentals of basketball.
