it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Hello my students are from all walks of life. Some of my students have been exposed to the Internet and cell phones for years and many students were excited when the pandemic hit and they got a device of their own to use for school. They had never used a computer or ipad and were thrilled to have one that was theirs alone. My students are a combination of in-person, hybrid remote and fully remote. They are excited to learn, they willing to use any technology and are patient when it doesn't work as planned.
My Project
Remote learning has been difficult for my students. They miss the interaction of having a teacher near and being able to show their work and watch as the teacher models how to solve multi-step equations. The document camera will allow students to see me modeling proper steps and procedures on the spot. Having the document camera that feeds directly into the computer will enable the students to watch in real time. I am currently using a personal white board and holding it to the Zoom camera to demonstrate mathematics.
While students are attending school in person using a white board on different surfaces will enable students to be safely socially distant and still show their work and model their procedures to the class.
