Help me give my students a way to see all the things we are talking about in class at once! This would be so helpful in explaining key signatures, rhythm, etc. Thank you!
My school's music department is among the best in the state. All three departments (Band, Choir, Orchestra) consistently earn Sweepstakes Awards at contest, the highest award given at our state's contests in the spring. We have kids in the all-state organizations each year, and they push each other to do better. They are the reason I go to work each day.
The teachers and students in the fine arts department go beyond the call of duty, doing musicals, auditions, contests, etc.
with only the intrinsic motivation of doing a great job.
My students are self-motivated, go-getters, and want to be the best. Every day challenges me to work harder to make them better.
My Project
Currently, we use our projector board ("smart board") as our dry erase board, but we have to erase things all the time to be able to use our smart board as a "smart board".
This would help so much with short announcements and deadlines, as well as with quick lessons on rhythm, theory, enunciation of foreign words...so much!
We will get a lot of use out of this much needed item in our room.
Especially when trying to help out with a difficult passage in a piece of music, if they could just all see what I'm trying to say on the board, it would be so much quicker and we can get on making music!
