My Students

I am a speech-language pathologist who is working in a large urban district. My students all come from a variety of backgrounds and cultures, each with their own unique experiences and ideas.

This can make communicating and sharing ideas very interesting.

I provide services to 48 wonderful students with special education needs. Each student works extremely hard to achieve his/ her individual goals. They are all on their way to become better communicators in this ever-changing world we live in.

My Project

Identifying students who require special education supports requires a lot of work. Part of the identification process consists of using standardized assessments to determine areas of need. The Test of Integrated Language and Literacy Skills along with the Comprehensive Expressive and Receptive Vocabulary Test, will help to determine areas of growth for students. These assessments will be used in conjunction with work samples, observations, parent/teacher reports, and student interviews to determine the best supports to provide. Please help me ensure that my students have the supports they require by providing me with the resources needed to identify their strengths and weaknesses.
