My Project
At JCY we are rebuilding the legacy! We are rebuilding the legacy of learning by increasing our knowledge of not only our culture but all cultures represented across the nation and world. I think each student has the right to read books about their culture and people who look like them that they can relate to.
As the school library media specialist I want to provide my students with books that are inclusive of culture and gender.
We are working hard to meet our school-wide goal of reading and logging over 200,000 minutes these books will help us meet that goal. I want everyone to see this as a safe space while also continuing to rebuild the legacy in our community.
