Diving Into Digital Portfolios: Capturing Swimming Success

Help me give my students the ability to showcase their swimming skills by funding waterproof cameras and SIM card readers so they can record, upload, and complete their final portfolios with pride.

My Project

My students are high schoolers working hard to improve their swimming skills and demonstrate progress throughout the semester. As part of their final grade, they are required to compile digital portfolios that include video evidence of their growth and proficiency in the water.

However, access to technology is a barrier for many of my students.

We are a school where the majority of students qualify for free or reduced lunch, and many do not have the tools they need to film themselves in a swimming environment.

To make this assignment accessible and equitable, I’m asking for 4 waterproof cameras and 5 SIM card readers. These tools will allow all students in my class to record their performances and upload their videos easily, no matter what devices they have at home.

This project isn’t just about cameras—it’s about helping every student feel seen, capable, and successful. With your support, we can give them the tools to confidently complete their final portfolios, celebrate their progress, and proudly meet course requirements.
