My Students

My students come from a diverse population. They come from various cultures and economic statuses. I have a variety of learners including gifted, autistic, ADHD, and ESOL. My kids love to learn new reading and math concepts. My students are creative, thoughtful, and full of questions! They absolutely love hands-on, active, engaging technology and learn better kinetically!

Each of them has the potential to be the best that he or she can be.

They come to school each day ready to learn new things and excited to grow socially and academically.

As educators, it is our responsibility to meet our students where they are and elevate them to the next level.

My Project

Ninety percent of the students I work with are minorities. Please help me to encourage reading by including diverse books in our classroom library. To bring in the new year I would like to do a library refresh. Most of the books are worn and I would like to add some fresh reads to their selections.

The books I am requesting offers an abundance of knowledge on different cultures and races.

My students would be very interesting in reading if they saw others like themselves as they turn the pages.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
