My Project

Our school is working to actively draw attention to and uplift cultural diversity in our music program. We would like to study the music of Black composers and performers and share this music with students.

Specifically, we want to engage with the important messages of self-reflection and empowerment that this music offers to students.

Additionally, Choral Builders is a guidebook written by a leader in the chorus world and Temple University professor that we hope to gain foundational strategies for engaging the chorus in warm-ups at the start of class.
