This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The artists in my classroom come to learn from all over the state, country, and even the world. Over the years my student population has become more diverse but I unfortunately do not have materials in Spanish that my students would find extremely helpful. As a teacher, it is disappointing when students are eager to learn but you do not have access to the resources that they specifically need.
When all students feel welcome, represented, and have the proper tools to learn amazing things can happen in the art room.
I am looking to diversify my resources and classroom in general so students of all backgrounds can be successful. I want my classroom to be a space that students look forward to being in and know that they are wanted here
