My Students

My students in Omaha, Nebraska are not only diverse themselves, but love to learn about cultures all around the world! That is why they chose to attend our school and be a part of the International Studies Program.

These students' needs are as diverse as the cultures they are passionate about.

Each child in my classroom absolutely loves learning, although the method and environment in which they learn best vary greatly. We incorporate a variety of learning strategies, group work, project options to ensure that each student's needs are met, right where they are!

My Project

I can't wait to see their excitement when they walk into my classroom and see furniture that reflects their needs. They will be more engaged than ever! Not only will these stools help my middle schoolers to get some of their physical needs met, but they will also be able to practice responsible decision making and care. Flexible seating is shown to increase engagement, promote better health, and increase academic performance.

These flexible seating options will make my students excited to enter our classroom each day.

It will make our classroom feel more like a home. A place where they are comfortable both physically and emotionally. Middle school can be an emotional time for students, and having seating that reflects them is just one more way that I can support their hunger for learning.
