Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our students are a microcosm of global representation. They speak many languages, have a wide array of cultural and religious backgrounds, and their beautiful faces are every shade of people colors. Yet, the books in our little school library do not reflect this.

Our students need library books that not only mirror, but celebrate their skin color, languages, and cultural variance.

Only with your help and support can this be achieved.

The books in this project reflect the spectrum of our students' diversity and include "I Am Not a Label," "Celebrations Around the World," and "Family Heritage," books that mirror many shades of people colors, and spotlight human differences and similarities.

I thank you in advance for your kind gift that will help these students see themselves and their cultures in books and stories in their school library.
