My Project

My students are special because they are each so different! My classroom is filled with a diverse group of students who need to see themselves reflected in the books we read. As young kids who began school in the midst of a pandemic, they have a unique need for social emotional lessons.

Young learners can learn so much about themselves and how to navigate the world just by reading the right books!

I will be reading these books daily and using them to guide classroom discussions and activities about their uniqueness, our class diversity, inclusivity, and overcoming challenges!
