My Students

I currently work as the ESOL contact and teacher at my elementary school. I work with students and teachers to best meet the needs of our students from other countries. I work to build relationships with these students as well as their families, from the time they register till they leave our school to attend middle school. These families love to have a direct connection to the school to be part of the larger community of learners.

My students are hard workers doing all they can to acquire the English language.

Having good books to read, is a great way to help them do this!

My Project

We've worked hard this year to get students back to school and excited about reading again. We need your help to continue this work by providing high interest, highly engaging books for summer reading.

We want to be sure when students go home in June, they ALL have access to GREAT books.

We want them to have a variety of genres and topics for their books. In the past we have provided books every summer to students, but now our collection has been depleted. We need your help to put books into the hands of our 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders!! Help us to continue to build that LOVE of reading into the hearts of our students!
