This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach on a campus full of students that have so much school pride and enthusiasm. They are some of the most loyal and helpful humans that I have ever come across. They are kind, determined, and ready to take on challenges thrown at them; including this new world of distance learning.

My Project

Since I am a single mom to a 4th grader who is also participating in distance learning, I will be teaching virtually from home until it is safe for students to return to the classroom.

The items I am requesting are essential for two reasons: first I need adequate lighting to assure the high quality of my video classes, and second the materials such as dry erase board, poster sheets, and vibrantly colored markers and Post-its will allow me to use similar activities and strategies that I use in my actual classroom.

The end goal is to provide a quality, engaging, and fun educational experience for my student.
