This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My second grade dual immersion students are creative, compassionate, inquisitive learners. They come to our virtual meetings everyday knowing that they are part of an engaging, safe, and happy community. I teach at a Title 1 school where 100% of my students receive free breakfast and lunch. Our school is located in a high need area where many of our families are farm workers and English Language Learners. Regardless of their home situation, my students love learning and thrive on new experiences.
It is crucial that each one of our students continue to develop 21st Century skills in order to stay competative in the future.
I am certain that my students would benefit greatly through this project by enhancing our distance learning experience together.
My Project
These materials will be used to help my student learn from home during distance learning by providing them with manipulatives and supplies that will help improve their engagement. The art supplies will also help them express their creativity and this project will help me find valuable resources created to fit their needs from the Teachers Pay Teachers website.
COVID19 has altered our student's school experience and having these resources will help my students participate more fully in their learning.
Please help my student get the most out of their educational experience and overcome the fact that they have been unable to attend school in person.
